Will Khai Harley be the Saints next GM?

I don't know how much he knows about football. Clearly, he is a genius at sports related contracts, but selecting and grooming players and coaches is an art form. I don't think anyone on this forum would really be able to answer the question with any depth of knowledge.
It's not his background, and he's basically one of Loomis' proteges. Consider the bios on some standout GMs:
KC: Brett Veach enters his eighth season as the Kansas City Chiefs General Manager and his 18th year in the National Football League in 2024. Veach was named the seventh general manager in Kansas City Chiefs history on July 10, 2017. . . Veach enters his 12th season with the Chiefs after originally joining the club in 2013. He was promoted to Co-Director of Player Personnel prior to the 2015 season after serving two seasons as the club's Pro and College Personnel Analyst (2013-14).
San Fran: John Lynch, former all-pro safety
Rams: Les Snead Les Snead is entering his 13th season as General Manager of the Los Angeles Rams and was hired for the position in February of 2012. . . In 1995, Snead was hired by the expansion Jacksonville Jaguars as a pro scout, where he worked until 1997, when he was hired by the Atlanta Falcons to the same position. In 2009, he was promoted to director of pro/player personnel, where he remained for the following two seasons.
Bills: Brandon Beane was named General Manager of the Bills on May 9, 2017. . . Beane joined the Bills after a 19-year stint with the Carolina Panthers. He served as the Panthers assistant general manager from 2015-16 and played a vital role
in constructing their draft boards from 2012-17. He also evaluated pro and college players and worked closely with the football operations staff on the negotiation of player contracts.

This is a short list of examples, but if Loomis chooses to step aside, I prefer a person with a scout background. I think it's easier to find a financial guy than someone good at evaluating players and potential coaches.
