I agree. Why not us? AK/Jeanty with KM in an offense that is run focused could send us right back to the top of the NFC South or better fairly quick. Yes, we need DL help badly and need to address the WR position, however, we don't need 5-6 WRs as years past with this a run focused offense. We need WRs who get dirty and also make plays (49ers and Lions WRs), strong TE room and a line who brings the physicality. That offense can be completed with this draft and offseason. The DL can see a huge change just by adding 1-2 players on the interior line and a shift in focus/scheme. We need that NT/big nasty block eating run stuffer to put next to Bresee. Those guys are around and they usually don't have the stats, I've seen someone mention Yahya Black at Iowa who doesn't even show up in the mock draft simulators yet, he cuold be that guy. We might have someone on the roster who could fill that role maybe not as the starter, but would be the backup. Ridgeway already has the size, but a knock on him coming into the league was lower body strength as his upper body strength, arm length and tenacity was praised. He came into the league at 6'5" 321lbs, if he were to focus on his lower body, and just getting older/filling out, he could be in the 330-340 range fairly easy. That with coaching/development could be an answer with someone on the roster. Ridgeway has over 33" arms and a reach greater than 6'9". If I was the FO, I would develop him and add a NT in the draft. Looking to who can be developed on the roster will help us go with a playmaker like Jeanty in the 1st. I'm also looking at JJ to move back to WR, play the Big X/Juaun Jennings role. We have Means who was showing flashes as another bigger WR, Kevin Austin Jr. who is bigger as well. The draft is so deep at TE, we could double dip there and end up with a young strong TE room. I know a lot of fans are very negative right now, but with a few right moves, this team can get fixed while cleaning up the cap which will be needed when we have to keep our young talent in the future.
