Mark Gastineau confronts Brett Favre for allowing Strahan to break Sack Record (merged)

It's been supposed that Favre orchestrated the whole play for the sack, knowing Strahan would be left unblocked.

I never heard that before, but that would explain it and I can understand under that circumstance.
