Anyone else question why did Carr leap?

Not so fast there; had Carr run between the defender and SAINTS blocker/guy in the wayer? Shoulder down and run through? We'll never know. What we DO KNOW? His effort did NOT prevail and now he's not only OUT but The SAINT's chances are left to Haener and/or Rattler or this new DiNuccio (sp) guy? There's aggressive play and there's "going insane" plays. Carr went insane........He's only successfully run the ball less than 5 Xs this entire season~! Anyway. It is what it is .........Glad so many of you "think" he did his best~! Geaux SAINTS~!
If you look at the overhead shot, you can see how quickly the player on the right was gonna get there. The defender had the angle and Carr would have been stopped well short. What he clearly was trying to do was get a first down, which would have given them another set of downs and force the Giants to use up their timeouts sooner.

I mean, the outcome wasn't ideal and it's easy to say in hindsight, but when you're in the moment, you commit and go for it.
