I like Jake.... But his obvious ceiling in the NFL is a "serviceable backup".... and since the team thinks they can still win something this year (delusional)... I can see why they would go with the serviceable backup....

I just think this is pointless (exception : Rizz wants to win so he can be HC next year - which is also bad long term for us)....

Spencer has the obvious ceiling of a NFL starter, and seeing him behind a healthy Oline the rest of the season so we can determine if he can be that (or if we need to draft a QB fairly high)... Is way more important than being competitive this week, or seeing Jake do what we know he can do (be a serviceable backup).

I couldn't care less who's ready now... we probably aren't winning this game (or any other outside of LV) with Carr at QB... I want to know if we have a QB of the future with NFL franchise QB talent... and we only have one guy with that talent level... it ain't Jake.

So... Geaux Jake... I guess... I guess there always a chance I am completely wrong (not likely) and he goes full on Drew Brees... Here's to holiday miracles!
