It's time to talk about the drones

So what the hell is going on over New Jersey. Supposed nightly sightings of drones or UAVs - sometimes allegedly in "swarms" - sometimes allegedly large (the size of cars) and others small. Sometimes with lights other times without. Sometimes they are reported to be hovering over power plants. Local press conferences have been held.

Now we have people in Congress literally saying wildly opposite things - even citing "sources". One says there's an Iranian mother ship off the coast. Another says it's just recreational performance art - like "War of the Worlds" - being done by Americans who aren't breaking any drone-related laws. The White House has even commented that many appear to be ordinary aircraft doing lawful things.

This is devolving into another example in our modern life were there's enough information to justify opinions and seed conspiracy theories but too little information to bring widespread, accurate belief.

Are they just people with recreational drones - and perhaps a little bit of crowd-sourced mischief? Are they some kind of government (even foreign?) surveillance program? Or just a bunch of one-off coincidences that appear to be a happening of some kind?

So here is one from New Egypt NJ - ( looking south ) -

Videographer swears its firing shots- then another swears that light on ground is the UAP being fired upon. Now you cannot SEE the UAP firing as its obstructed by a tree.

So out of curiosity, i looked up New Egypt NJ. And since the caption said "looking south" i find that there is Lackland NATF AND McGuire AFB just to the south of New Egypt.

then another where man tried to raise his Mavic to confront UAP with his drone, only to have battery not work. Fully charged - wont fly ( as if the drone in sky causing battery to simply not operate )

another says he got his in air, only to have battery drain in less than 2 min and it landed itself

Yet the social media aspect has allowed this phenomenon to blossom into full blown hysteria. From rational people to lawmakers at all levels.

I dont know what is happening LOL folks are getting sucked in -

including me! - low flying- ok i get it- kids with drones. But some of the other reports, especially air traffic, can cause issues.
