Hot Takes Welcome (Post Commanders Loss)

Washington is a better team across the board, but the Saints showed some heart at the end.

Haener's days are done vying for the starting job in New Orleans. He clearly cannot translate practice success into games, which is unfortunate for him. I am fine that we gave him the shot, but this is Rattler's job now clearly.

We've got to figure out the run game. Our draws are our only effective runs; it takes misdirection to keep our backs from getting blown up in the backfield. Rough work by the O-line.

Rattler is going to get more effective when he has more time and rapport with better than a patchwork receiving corp. You can see it, the guy has a live arm. The final play of the game, he put that ball in a spot where we could win it, but that ball is thrown harder than any of our other QBs could throw it, so it's not surprising our receivers are going to drop some of these. This is a continuity problem (the revolving door at QB and revolving receiver group).

Miller is playing hard, glad to have him healthy.

Defense quietly had a pretty acceptable day. They managed to contain both JD and Robinson as rushers, which is a stark difference from the rest of this season where RBs and QBs have their way running all over our defense.

Rizzi is doing the job I expect for a respectable head coach. Time management was handled as well as could be expected. Going for two was the right momentum play at the end the game there.
