RB Ashton Jeanty as the Saints 1st pick?

Yeah 700+ carries in 3yrs and it's not over yet. WOW

Derrick Henry had over 600, Breece Hall over 700, Kenneth Walker near 500, Bijan over 500, CMC over 600 and Barkley at 671. These stud RBs get carries in college. With AK and KM in on the roster, Jeanty would get a smaller load to start out his career allowing him to put some time between his final college season and his first NFL lead back season. This would be better for his career than to go straight to a team as a lead back adding a lot of carries from day 1. Through 14 games, we have 392 carries as a team, which is 28/game. If we stay at that rate, it would bring us to 476 on the season.

A roster with AK, AJ and KM dividing up ~500 carries over 17 games would work. Let AJ and KM handle most of the runs between the tackles, allow AK to focus more in the receiving game/3rd down like a Kevin Faulk/James White taking some of the load off him to extend his career. When he's done in ~2 seasons, then it's the AJ/KM show with whoever the next guy that add. A run focused offense that KK wants to run would benefit from 3 legit backs.

The draft has 2 complete stud offensive playmakers in Tet and Jeanty who will go high. Then it has a 1 stud DT and a couple stud DEs, all will go in the upper first. We need OGs who are available throughout the draft and I've completed numerous mock simulations demonstrating that we can add a playmaker like Jeanty, add DT(s), DE(s), TE(s) and WR(s) fairly easy. This is not the draft to need a QB, but it is a great draft to build a foundation for a QB. We need to do that, continue to build the foundation and add a weapon or three.
