Rattler is the only right answer

I would be really surprised if Rattler can be a good QB in the NFL. He was benched for turning the ball over at USC, and fans were boo’ing him. Rumors out of OU is that’s why he chose to leave OU. He was sour pants after the fans grew frustrated of his turnovers.

We haven’t seen a lot of Rattler. But we have seen his tendency to turn the ball over similar to his time spent in OU.

Just for comparison, Rattler threw 32 ints in 4 years while Jayden Daniels threw 20 in 5 years.

We’ve already seen a couple in his limited snaps this year. It’s possible Rattler ends up being another interception machine similar or even worse then Winston.

Not trying to beat the kid down, but if your getting excited thinking he’s the answer or should be our QB going forward, probability says your very likely setting yourself up for disappointment.

I think the more realistic idea is that he has a chance here to prove that he should be the backup going forward while we hunt for a future starting QB
If you do some research, Rattler was challenged at SC to cut down on his turnover worth plays following his junior season.

He responded by throwing 1 more TD against 4 less INTs and finished with his best TD:INT ratio of his 5 year career.

All that w/ less talent than he had the prior year as his primary WR Juice Wells went down early in the season

I understand being cautious about Rattler but please apply context in statements vs just attempting to trash the player.

Much like he showed improvement in his last game from his 1st three, he also showed improvement in his shortcomings during his final season.

Suggesting he takes to coaching
