Brace yourselves for an "international" game next season

Give me a Saints game in Paris, please.

1. It's the cheapest European City to fly into.

2. Our logo, not the Saints logo, but our logo is the fleur-de-lis.

3. The Saints do hold the NFL's exclusive marketing rights in France.

4. Of all European cities, the Saints playing in France just makes sense.
Might not be a popular take but I love the London games. It’s a great place to go for a game and they have developed homegrown, true, Die-Hard, rabid football fans in the UK. The Brits by and large are friendly and fun even if their food is not so fun. As for Paris, please no!!!

I always thought the French were rude and hated Americans but it turns out if you get outside of Paris that’s dead wrong people are friendly, fun and unlike the Brits their food is wonderful.

My attitude on Parisians has changed a bit after the anti tourist movements this past summer in Spain. I kind of think it’s not so much that Parisians hate Americans as much as it is Parisians probably don’t care for visitors, which I can understand considering the hoards of people that descend on Paris every year. That said Paris is not a welcoming place.

If the true goal of this is brand expansion the NFL would be better served sticking with England and spreading more and more into Germany. NFL football is big in both countries. It won’t be on the level of soccer or even NBA basketball but there’s a good base to build on, strong youth American football programs and general interest. Like others have said as well the NFL should be targeting Canada as well NFL is already huge in Canada but they should get some games sent their way as well.
