I believe it is common knowledge he was the really playing the role of OC at LSU. He did well enough there in 1 year to actually get an NFL OC job, and no matter how much you prattle on about him "bombing" in Carolina I really don't believe that will impact the demand for him as a HC (maybe now or in a few years) because teams with smart FO's (like the Bills) realize when a young coach is in a bad situation.
You are also totally ignoring why a team with one of the top 2-3 QBs in the NFL went after and hired him then promoted him to OC in a years time.....It's called upward trajectory, and it's how young, promising coordinators eventually get HCing jobs.....I believe in the next few years, whether here (hopefully) or elsewhere he will be an NFL HC.....Will he be a good one? impossible to know.....but I think he is a guy that I would be willing to take a chance on....
