Favorite Christmas movies

even more simply it seems you prefer textual humor and do not like physical humor
No, it's not that simple. Harpo was physical comedy, but it was based on cleverness, not lame buffoonery.
(No pun intended- at least at first) but I can’t think of any woman who was able (allowed) to do broad physical comedy

Like the difference between Chris Farley and John Belushi - Farley only operated in the red zone at 11 (and most every time the punchline was ’hey im fat’) Belushi used his size for both setups and punchlines as well but he could be incredibly subtle

Lucy and Carol are way more like Belushi than Farley
This is a better explanation of my preference. Belushi's physical humour was subtle and clever; Farley was constantly poking the audience in the ribs with "aren't I funny?" type of nonsense - and he wasn't.
Again, Carol Burnett's physical humour was clever, not dumb.
