I just don't see where Loomis is this huge problem. He's had the opportunity to hire 2 coaches. 1 was elite, one was terrible. That's a .500 average why does he absolutely need to go?
He isnt going to go, so theres that. But look at the roster. The cap. The coaching situation. The lack of total draft picks the last 5 years, especially middle round picks. Every team has injuries, but we lose 1 guy, the next man up is a UDFA or a guy we signed because we got a bargain on because of...injuries. We have holes all over the field, and virtually no depth.
Im not going to argue that it was a pretty amazing 15 year run. But its been a multi year process that got us where we are from a personnel standpoint. We are depleted. Time comes for everyone in sports. Sometimes things just get stale and change is needed.
I think the franchise needs to start fresh without a link to the era that was. But Loomis is entrenched, so it is what it is.
