Odds of Rizzi Getting Permanent Job and, If So, What Type of Contract

Those smart things were nearly a generation ago.

Been a fun ride lately with Chuck Noll clone as HC, affordable Drew Brees clone at QB, a clean cap and money to sign starters entering their 2nd contracts, those 9-10 draft picks every year, and those big wins over good teams. With his next roll of the dice, he's a lock for GM of the Year and Comeback GM of the Year, and dare I say... Canton, OH.

I mean, yes, it was a long time ago, but those decisions were so good that he didn't have to really make another decision on a HC or QB for like 15 years. No doubt he's done some bad to questionable things the last few years, but that doesn't mean that he's incapable of getting this hire right.

If I had the choice, I'd move on from Loomis and hire someone younger with better talent evaluation credentials. But, it's not my choice and I'm not sure that I trust who the new GM would be since he would likely be someone from a list given the Gayle from the NFL and good old Roger. And if not someone on a list from Roger, the the mostly likely person to get the job is Khai Harley and I doubt that would end up being much of a change from the way Loomis does things.

And I have no idea what your Chuck Noll rant is about.
