Forgive me for saying this, but the Falcons 2024 Quarterback move is GENIUS!

All true.
But if the Falcons had rolled the dice with Penix from Day One of the season, they may not even be in the enviable position that they are right now. Trust me, I'm not saying that Penix is now set to be the next Joe Montana. But they are certainly on a better road in 2024 than if they had thrown him to the dogs back in September. And there is now a whole lot less QB mystery in Atlanta than what we are experiencing here in the Big Easy.
Only time will tell with Penix. They paid a lot of money to get less than a season out of Cousins and already have to see what they have in the rookie. It wasn't pretty nor that impressive, but with Cousins they got to a division lead with only a couple games to go. I see it more as a look on the bright side situation than one to be envious of. They had Penix to fall back on but thats asking a lot for a rookie to step in and win games that will ultimately decide their season. If Penix plays well against Washington and Carolina, they make post season and he does well there, then I could see that situation looking a lot better. I just don't think this 1 game showed enough to say Atlanta has it figured out.
