Christopher Nolan’s next film will be an adaptation of the Odyessy

If nothing else, the thirst trap casting got me
Why do I feel like Charlize Theron will play Penelope? It would be an outstanding casting choice and she could very easily pull it off, considering in Homer's Odyssey, Penelope is essentially is in her late 40's/early 50's.

Penelope is a very likable, root able character from ancient Greek Homeric epics in that at any moment in time she couldve accepted the seemingly obvious fact that her husband had died or was lost at sea after the siege and defeat of Troy and essentially Odysseus sort of lost his mind for a while after the Illiad and became a bit of a bloodthirsty, rampaging pirate (I'm Nobody, Mr. Cyclops) and while Odysseus doesn't exactly stay 100% committed to Penelope, by God, she stays committed to him for 20 years and finds an ingenious way to keep her lusty, craven and pompous suitors waiting while they wined and dined and tore up her palace like despicable pigs. Now that sort of determined loyalty is almost mythical and saintly and quite a few times after finishing the Odyssey, I felt a little like Odysseus didnt really deserve such a wonderful, beautiful woman like this.
