It will take time to develop Rattler, Haener or possible first round quarterback.

The problem is neither Heaner nor Rattler have shown they are worth the resources it would require to even try and turn them into a QB1. They’re ceilling is backup QB. We gotta draft one or search other teams QB2’s for starting talent that isn’t obvious due to a scheme mismatch or superior talent at QB1. No one comes to mind except maybe Jake Browning for the Bengals. And no one in this draft looks appealing. Jaxson Dart has some intriguing capabilities but he had a bad college year which will cause a lot pause. He really struggled against good defenses as did Carson Beck. Ward and Sanders look like eye candy that will fade away like Deshaun Watson but likely and hopefully without the legal issues.

I don’t think we have a shot at a franchise QB till 2026 draft/free agency.

I agree. I see 2 career backups who may not even be good enough to be backups in the NFL. Neither is better than the other at this point. We don't have a healthy NFL QB on the roster. Shoulda kept Winston or Dalton.

We are stuck with Carr for another year, IMO. The cap and personnel have been completely mismanaged since Sean left.

Otherwise, clean house on this team and start spending high picks on Oline and Dline. Every overpriced veteran needs to do us a favor and retire. Embrace suckage for 2-3 seasons and start over.

First mistake: hiring DA as the head coach. 2nd mistake: double down on the first mistake and let the wrong head coach spend money on a middle of the road QB who isn't any better than the 2 cheap guys we could have kept for no cost.

It's a dumpster fire at this point.
