No, the cap issues are an extension of trying to compete with Derek Carr and failing miserably. We have had the injuries offensively but there are no excuses for the defense to be this bad. They are healthy.
Are cap issues are stemming from the Drew Brees era, not signing Derek Carr two years ago...I wish that was the case then we know we could just release Carr, but this is the "kicking the can down the road method that we have to recover from.
