It will take time to develop Rattler, Haener or possible first round quarterback.

I know there are a few Team Haener and Team Rattler here but everyone needs to take a chill pill with expectations for these young quarterbacks. No quarterbacks, (hall of famer, veterans, Super Bowl winners or MVP) can come in and spark this offense into winning games. We have 4 receivers that should be on the practice squad starting in a game, an offensive line that struggle all year long with injuries and inconsistency, a run game that can't be relied on and a defense that looks almost as bad as 2012 2014 2015 defense. To expect a fifth rounder to come in and be that savior is absurd. If Green Bay can give their first rounders (Rodgers and Love) a few years to learn and patience, why can't we? It took Brees 3 years before San Diego was winning. Love, in place of Rodgers, were horrible his first few starts. It took 2 years before he became a full time starter. He didn't get going until the middle of last year. With both of these guys, I see something I like. Although they struggled, I am not giving up on them. Not saying they will be the next franchise, but give them some times. Even if a quarterback is drafted first next year, don't expect too much too soon. Understand patience with them.
Time and stability in a system with good coaching helps young QB’s. Look no further than the development of Bryce Young his first year had a disaster situation with coaching and then a new coach/system to learn this season. This season he was practically thrown in the garbage. He gets benched then gets another crack at it and suddenly he becomes the guy they drafted. His development almost took 2 full seasons of on job learning but here we are with 3 games to go in year 2 and he is comfortable having fun again.

Think about this too they were trying to move him at the trade deadline they were a phone call from giving up on him even considering what they gave up to get him.

QB’s need time and they almost never get it.
