The ONLY good thing about the robbery of the missed PI call in the Rams playoff game was that it was the final nail in my football craziness. A part of my football need died that day. It allowed me to be able to watch and process games without the chest compressing stress and emotion that came after a game last night.
I remember being a kid and being into pro wrestling, when Goldberg had his 100 plus win streak. When he lost, I discovered how scripted it really was. Same thing happened then as it did after the no call. I was able to disconnect my emotions and now I don’t even watch wrestling. I guess it is kind of line finding out Santa isn’t real. A part of your childhood dies. My advice is to let the football dependent side of you die. That way you can enjoy the highs and disconnect during the valleys.
