Adam Schefter: I expect the Saints to have some level of interest in Mike Vrabel [mod edit]

A question, folks. Not wanting bash anybody's opinion, just wondering.

Why are some people clamoring for Vrabel? Other than the Saints, I don't follow any team, so I don't know about his coaching, other than the record.
As head coach he had 4 winning seasons w/1 winning playoff appearance. His last 2 years (after his best 1), were worse than DA(before the M*A*S*H unit this year). He inherited a decent team, something he wouldn't be getting here. He ended up .545 reg season & .400 playoffs.

Everybody wants a new, modern system, how is his "New"? Has he shown that it can work against the "new" type of O? His heyday was in NE as a DC, but his D system worked better in TN, for the 1st 4 years. He was a top DC in the same time as DA.

Vrabel repeatedly proved himself as a brilliant gameday coach & tactician (like Belichick). He was stuck in a dysfunctional organization without having personnel control. He did not want Will Levis and was visibly upset over the draft day A.J. Brown trade. So any critique of his last couple seasons needs to be analyzed with those variables in mind.
