Klubnik is no better a prospect that Rattler at this point. Arguably will need more development that Rattler. I haven't seen him graded any higher than a late second/early third rounder. This is just fodder, no reason to think we are actually targeting him.

Someone in the same talent cloud as Klubnik shouldn't be touched with a 10-foot pole before the fifth round, if that. The million-dollar question for me concerns that position and the next head coach -- who will coach up Spencer Rattler? He has a higher ceiling than Haener but they'll waste him if no one coaches him up.

Older fans like me certainly remember Dave Wilson in the '80s? He was a big guy about 6-5 who once held the NCAA record for most passing yards in a game. Bum took him in the supplemental draft in '81. He broke his leg in the preseason the following year, which led us down the path of having a very physically-old Kenny Stabler for a few years. Wilson was built like Big Ben but never had the coaching-up to become anything more than a mildly serviceable backup to Hebert.
