Roethlisberger was drafted and developed by Cowher and not Tomlins. Great defensive mind and was able to stay competitive in a meah division (Cleveland, Raven & Cincy). Ben Roethlisberger was his quarterback from 2007-2021. How much quarterback developing was he supposed to be doing for 15 seasons? The thing about having a top 25% quarterback is that there’s eight spots to occupy, Ben R. spent almost the entirety of his career in it, and even a casual observer of today’s NFL could give you four of them with minimal effort (Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson, Allen).

This board seems to think finding a quarterback is easy. I truly don’t get it. Fifteen seasons of Brees and a chunk of the commenters here seem to have taken away “every team should be capable of that all the time” instead of “how fortunate we were as fans to be in the ‘haves’ of QB play.”
