ESPN’s Bill Barnwell rates the Saints as least desirable job for HC candidates [mod edit]

Some of the HC openings will be perceived as more attractive than others. We will find out shortly how others view the Saints job. My own view is that the organization will have to sell prospective coaches that in the first two years they will be judged on direction, improvement, and the building of culture, rather than wins and losses. My memory is that San Francisco's pitch to Kyle Shanahan was similar when he was hired.

I expect the next two seasons to be especially challenging. And we will have to do a lot that is right to look forward to season three.

I think people are letting three seasons with a terrible HC cloud the fact that this team has some talent that can form the base of a good team. I mean, if we think this team only has the talent to be a 5 or 6 win team, why did we think DA was doing a bad job?

Or should we be looking past the record to tell how bad of a coach DA was?
