Zack Baun: Top Graded LB / DPOTW [Why Baun Isn’t Still a Saint Thread]

Except Baun is playing exactly the role that the Saints trained Baun to play and he was a square peg when they moved him to Mike. I get that DA was a terrible head coach, but not everything he did was wrong. At least not when it came to defense. And, IIRC, Anzalone's big problem here was that he could not stay healthy. Kind of similar to T-Rex until his last year here.
I started to point this out but didn’t want to waste my time.

I was pulling for Davenport sooo hard and when the Saints let TH walk, I did a comparison of their first three year in the league and it was eye opening how similar they were in missed games because injury and sacks.

And, I’ve heard media openly point out that the Saints thought THs big season was a fluke.

I guess I’m saying that as much as I want to bury the coaches and team for putting the team in this position, these departures, while they were failures, the decisions made sense at the time.
