It’s a bad throw. Zero reason to make a WR leave his feet and high point a ball when he is just standing there for a first down. It’s a pattern of unnecessary high/hard throws.
Except that he's been under pressure the entire game so he's a bit off on some of his throws. But he hit the guy in both hands so it shouldn't have gotten passed him. Maybe he doesn't come down with it, but not passed him.
