The good news is, you could have been a Saints fan during this era and trying to explain this away:
"In 1979, Erxleben was drafted in the first round (11th pick overall) by the New Orleans Saints, listed as both a kicker and a punter."
I still remember my dad and his brother getting so mad about that.
Then in the first game of the season Erxleben missed an important FG and botched a punt snap that cost points. He was so bad as a FG kicker he lost that job during his rookie season.
