Crawfish Boil Gear - Opinions wanted
I've been having my burner so long 13 years, i don't even remember what brand it is but it has the dual jets. whichever one it is, i wasn't happy with it at first. i replaced the regulator the next year and it was 1000x better. then the next year, i went from an 80 qt SS pot to a 120 qt aluminum pot. the aluminum pot brings the water to a boil quicker. plus i can do 70 lbs of crawfish plus the fixings in the 120 qt where in the 80 qt i could only do 35 lbs. but for some reason that 80 qt SS pot, the basket was (imo) too small for that pot, there was too much gap between the basket and the pot, whereas the aluminum pot i have, the basket fits in the pot with just minimal gap .
BUT, with the 120 qt pot, you better have at least another person that can lift them out with you, because 70 lbs plus fixing is HEAVY.. lol
