With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged)

I keep reading people talk about cutting pricey vets. I wish we could, but it easier said than done. With dead money now and in the future, it's a little harder than we think. I'm not a salary cap guru, but I do read articles about it. Like everyone wants Carr gone. Not happening unless you really want to just field a JV team. I'm all for giving Rattler a real shot, but this is going to take a while. Unfortunately, I think you will see a Carr extension to save money now, then let him go in 2026 and eat dead money for 3 years after. As long as Loomis is making the decisions, I don't feel like it will go away soon.
