Is Mike McCarthy possibly the Saints next head coach if Dallas lets him walk?

To me, SBs are a function of frequent playoff visits combined with sheer luck. Not everyone can be Reid or Belichick; those are anomalies.Give me a coach that has me in the dance with a good record often, like a SP, and I’ll take my chances. If the vision you have for Saints next head coach is the results of Belichick or Reid, then your expectations are way too high.
Sean Payton didn't exactly choke away close playoff games with the same consistent regularity as McCarthy has done for close to 20 years in GB and Dallas. Neither has Mike Tomlin for that matter in Pittsburgh. I don't expect anomalies but is it too much to expect we couldn't hire proven winners like Mike Vrabel or poach Aaron Glenn away from Detroit? Payton and Tomlin can make average, mediocre-at-best teams look better then they are whereas McCarthy has mostly won with teams that are sort of already built to contend and have great, All-Pro talent sort of in place.

My expectations are more in the Matt Lafleur, Vrabel range caliber. NFL HC's who tend to over-achieve and can win games their not supposed to.
