I gotta tell you, I don’t see how teachers with a conscience do it. I’m sure it takes a lot out of you and the low pay certainly doesn’t help. Hats off to you and those like you for trying to make a difference.
I know i'm a unicorn in this dynamic but in my 23 years teaching (5 at university, 18 in high school), there have only been 2-3 years that I didn't feel fulfilled (not sure if that's the right word, but close enough)
and what problems there are always involves admin, it's never the kids (for me)
