Right Turn on Red

There's an intersection up here in the DFW area in a town right up the road called Celina. It's a growing city and infrastructure is trying to catch up.

Anyways, the intersection is super dangerous. There's a fatality there almost every couple of weeks, or at the least a wreck.

It's an intersection that consists of a very busy 4 lane north/south road, and a less busy cross street. When you get to the light there's two turn lanes in both directions. If trying to go left on a flashing yellow arrow, it is incredibly difficult to see around the cars in the opposite direction/facing you who are trying to turn as well. A lot, and I mean, a lot of people just seem to risk it when they think traffic isn't coming any longer and get plowed.

Anyone else have this type of intersection where you live?

Almost need to make those flashing yellow arrows go away.
