For anyone who says Carr is just a stat padder and don’t win:

He is 15 games under .500 in his 11 year career. He has never won a playoff game.

He does get a whole lot of excuses though.

But, sure, he is the best qb option we have in 25. It doesn’t make him good. After 11 years, if you are nearly a full season under .500, you are what your record says you are. And what he needs to be good, is above average skill players, at every position. And a top 10 o line. Which we won’t have in 25.

I think we will likely be picked to finish last in the NFC South in 25. We are 1 game better than Carolina this season and split with them. Theyve at least been competing the last 8 weeks (6 out of 8 they either won or were within 1 score) and Bryce Young is at least showing something. 25 is a necessary evil we have to go through, a sacrificial year to rebuild the franchise. I just don’t know if it really matters if it’s Derek Carr or Heath Shuler under center.
When will people stop this RIDICULOUS practice of assigning the winning or losing of a game only to the QB? It' the most totally inaccurate way of thinking in sports. the QB does NOT play defense. If the offense is 60/40 split passing and running the QB is HANDING the ball off 40% of the time
C'mon man you're smarter than that
