He thinks the offense is on the field to run clock, give HIS defense rest and shorten the game so that his defensive stats will be impressive.

They lead the NCAA in turnovers forced, and have scored 148 points off of those turnovers, the next closest team had 42 less points off of turnovers. Their defense is solid if not great, even considering the fairly weak schedule. They're playing whoever is in front of them.

That said, they'll get PSU next and if they win, likely tOSU will be a great test for them.
