He likely won't make it as a wide receiver. Corners are far more effective in coverage then linebackers and most safeties which is who usually picks up the RB out of the backfield. It's one thing to occasionally line your RB out wide. It's another to do it always and expect them to beat Corners in coverage. It's one reason why Hamilton is such a hyped up Safety. He can cover like a corner and has single handedly shut down RB's passing games before which allows the Ravens defense to stay in a formation matching CB's to WR's. Where as some teams when facing a pass catching RB will put an extra DB on the field, but a simple audible to a run play by the offense puts that formation at risk.
