Pretending teams don’t regularly draft for need over BPA would be an incredibly naive way to look at the draft. One can easily see teams do it all the time by looking at previous drafts. The Raiders likely will have Bowers and Meyers both hit 1,000+ yards this year with scrubs at QB. I doubt they are thinking WR is a priority over all the other positions they need. Hell a guy like Jeanty would be a much more logical pick if we are going off BPA for them.

Of course they do draft for need sometimes, but I doubt all 9 teams ahead of us are going to do that while ignoring a better talent like McMillan. But you said they have bigger needs. Sometimes teams draft another need if the player is better than what is their biggest need.

But, the fact is that Cleveland, the Giants, Jacksonville, Carolina, the Jets, and Raiders all need a big X contested catch guy like McMillan. They may have bigger needs but they all need at least one more WR and could easily take him. And maybe the Titans will decide they don't like the QBs. If I were them, I would not take Sanders or Ward at #2.

And I don't even think Jeanty is particularly good value at #10 much less at #2.
