No one the Saints hire will change the Saints ownership management framework because *THEY ARE THE ONES HIRING HIM.*
If ML is not going to relinquish control or support a new path, it doesn't matter what name is hired -- a total stranger is the same as Aaron Glenn because whoever they hire will be hired because they fit their plans.
This goes equally for if they are empowering someone to start over ...it's probably even more likely they would entrust that responsibility with someone they know than a rando.
We will see what they do when they do it, but the worry over hiring anyone who even briefly coached with Sean Payton over his 15 years here as if that means it will meaningfully reduce their autonomy is not logical.
