League insiders tells Tony Pauline that Aaron Glenn will end up being Saints Head Coach [Edit: Underhill says no decision is close to being made]

People hate consistency, but it’s a smart way of doing business. The Ravens have been running the same defensive scheme for years. No matter who’s the DC they are tutored in it.

There’s nothing wrong w/ the scheme. Glenn and Ryan Nielsen took it to different places and had success. Allen had a passive defensive philosophy and the better defenses in the league are blitzing.

Respectfully the turnovers went way down after we lost Allen’s play-calling.

With all that being said I’d rather Rizzi over Glenn if retaining coaches is part of the negotiations. That probably may include Kubiak among others.
Well, there are some things wrong with it. We've seen it play out many times late in games, and it's probably cost us at least a couple of Super Bowl opportunities. When you run a man-heavy scheme, you live and die by the individual performances of above-average players, and if injuries hit, things go downhill in a hurry. Look at Detroit's defense over the last several weeks.

And if Aaron Glenn comes here, he isn't going to have Detroit's defensive roster. He's going to have one much worse to work with. If we want to go with a defensive HC, at least Brian Flores has a history of elevating talent and designing a scheme around them. Everywhere he goes, he gets the most out of his defenses.
