Expect the Saints to show interest in Chiefs OC Matt Nagy for HC per Dianna Russini
I just don't see how you can think Flores should be an option and Nagy isn't even good enough to be interviewed and it is dumb to even have interest.
Flores flamed out in Miami, never made the playoffs, and was only 24-25 in his career. But, I still think Flores should be interviewed. because he got a raw deal in Miami and I like his defensive scheme. I kind of feel the same about Kingsbury. If I compare that to Nagy, I don't see the huge difference. He's worth an interview here and if the below article is to be believed he's going to get several HC interviews this year.

So, what did he do wrong in Chicago that means he's a terrible HC despite his record there and Chicago's only two playoff appearances since 2011?
Flores is running Minnesota’s defense right now, and even after losing talent this offseason like Daniel Hunter, they are still performing at a high level. His time in Miami was full of internal strife that the owner flamed on. I can’t blame Flores for Stephen Ross being an idiot.
In each of his 3 years in Miami the team got better. His final season was full of problems (see Stephen Ross), but they still managed to go 9-8. He was ascending while Nagy was descending. There is a difference.
I wouldn’t want Kliff either. Washington fans are growing tired of his offense being figured out by their opponents. I would want to see another year of him as OC before I would feel comfortable with him. That is another career head coaching loser.
I wouldn’t hate him as an OC, but that guy was a loser at Texas Tech and then again in AZ. There is also the idea that folks around here throw around that college coaches make bad NFL coaches (which is a bit absurd), and there is very little to get excited about with him either.
To be honest with you, I’m a bit dubious of Bill’s success as a head coach. Like the Mickey Loomis of the sideline, if you take away what made them special (Tom Brady for Bill, Drew and Sean for Mickey), and what does he really have to hang his hat on? Meanwhile Tom and Sean have gone on to find success for different teams.
I’m willing to keep an open mind about who we hire, but retread would have to be if the Veabel/Flores variety, where circumstances and clashing with upper management did them in, and not having a bad product on the field.
