Are you willing to get the Covid vaccine when offered?

I don't know what to say anymore. I work in a petri dish. I knew that going into this field. They'll always be some who send their kids to school sick, always some kids who sneak past their parents and come to school anyway because they don't want to miss school (yes they still exist), and a good number who show no symptoms and don't realize they're spreading whatever it is around.

That said, I've been home sick for the past two weeks, with some sort of upper respiratory something after being coughed on in class. No more bragging about my immune system. Didn't have to use my sick days but also accomplished almost nothing and didn't get out of the house, etc.

So, let's add back a few preventable life-threatening communicable diseases to the mix!

For years, we were not allowed to accept home-baked goods from students to share in class, because of hepatitis. Everything had to be 'store bought.' The vaccine changed that. Now, the hepatitis risk is back. :( Is our Health Department allowed to even discuss this?

We can't get enough subs as it is, not to mention certified teachers, or people off the streets fast-tracked into the role of teacher. We complain about people leaving the state. Our children graduating college and leaving. Businesses, etc. And now it will be tourists.

"Come visit Louisiana and get sick." For no reason.
