We just willingly let MIKE EVANS go into the record book versus us?

It was all about circumstance for me. The game is over and they're telling you they're going to throw a quick pass to Mike Evans, and we don't even show any fight to stop it. Not even going to double him? Not even going to try and jump the route? It's a 1 score game after all. They're saying they're going to risk their playoff lives by trying to get their guy into the record book and to get him his bonus, and we put up zero fight versus a dude who has been one of the biggest heels toward this team of anyone since Roddy White retired.
But this is exactly what the players don’t care about. There’s not really anyone left of this team from those intense Evans/Lattimore games. Latt is gone. Marcus Williams is gone. Jenkins is gone. PJ Williams is gone and the list goes on and on. So that “rivalry” exists only in the heads of the fans. The players don’t care about that stuff. These are brothers in the NFL Fraternity and with the way the rosters shift around via free agency, maybe even one day teammates.

They were running the defense that was called and we didn’t stop the play.

Same as when Drew Brees played every snap in two blowouts at the end of the 2011 season while attempting to collects records and get his teammates to individual accolades. The opposing defenses didn’t stop it. Such is life.

I’m actually really glad it happened. Why not have all the bad things happen this season? Just pile them on so that fans will pressure Loomis to wake up and put the work in needed to fix this mess.

But again, this milestone only bothers the fans and I guarantee you there were just as many Saints congratulating Evans as Bucs after the game.
