NFL Network Believes Chase Young Will Have A "Strong Market" Once Free Agency Starts

So as long as it hasn’t been restructured already a comp pick is in play? And since Young was on a one year deal with 4 void years there was no restructure?
A comp pick is in play for his contract since he played out the full term of the contract as written (he was never actually under contract for later years due to the automatic void clause). Both team and player entered into the contract knowing that 2024 was the only year that Young would be on the Saints roster, assuming no contract extension or re-signing.

A restructure alone wouldn't prevent a comp pick (Onyemata's contract was restructured in both 2021 and 2022), but renegotiating a contract to convert "real" years to void years would prevent a comp pick (as what happened with Peat). Edit to add that the comp pick falls out of play because changing real years to void years is the equivalent of releasing the player before the end of their original contract.
