Saints re-sign K Charlie Smyth
The New Orleans Saints and K Charlie Smyth have agreed on a two-year deal to keep the Newry, Ireland native in the Big Easy through 2027.
The 23-year-old UDFA spent his rookie season on the Saints practice squad while second-year kicker Blake Grupe retained the starting job for his sophomore campaign. Grupe finished the 2024 season going 31-of-33 on extra points and 27-of-31 on field goal attempts (7 of 8 from 40-49 and 6 of 8 from 50-59), which earned him a 76.1 overall grade from Pro Football Focus.
