With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged)
Just feels like we can find something at LG. Some form of Patrick, Young, or Saldi.
Whereas we have next to nothing at WR, TE, iDL, Edge if Chase leaves, FS, or SS.
Possibly but this year neither Saldi nor Young stepped up.
We need an X-WR! That is a
must in this draft.
We need a run stuffing DT. Another
must!
We need LBs that can cover TE & RB on pass plays.
S is a position of need.
J. Williams is probably done as a Saint & K. Miller can't stay healthy so RB is a need...
Our TE are better than the credit they get from most of our fans.
J. Joshnson is rated as the 27th best UFA in 2025. F. Moreau plays hard, blocks well, & is descent in pass game.
T. Hill is one of our best players on the team. Yes, he is coming off a major injury & getting older but the way he takes care of himself, he should be back to his usual standards.
It is hard to say about DE or Edge rusher until we hire a new coach & they decide on whether we run a 4-3 or 3-4 base D...
If we go to a 3-4 C. Young will definitely leave for a new team.
It is outstanding that we have accumulated so many picks in the 2025 draft.
Hopefully we get multiple players that can contribute immediately!
