Sure theres room for improvement, but if you let him go your Oline immediately gets worse and now you have 2 gapping holes on your Oline. So now you need to use a draft pick or sign someone else to a lucrative contract in free agency to replace him.

Penning's 5th year option value is projected to be over $17mil. I don't think they will pick that up. Let him play out 2025 and see if he's worth a long term deal. Penning shouldn't preclude the Saints from taking a tackle at some point in the draft if it's the best player available.
