Interesting comments by Drew. I would never discount anything he might say. But he doesn't have the job of picking the next head coach. This means that he doesn't have a great deal of information on all of the coaching candidates, that he can allow emotion and his past relationships to the candidates to sway his opinions, and that he won't suffer any adverse consequences if the hiring turns out poorly.

He likes Aaron Glenn. So apparently do others in the building. Going into any interviews, Loomis and others on Airline already have a strong opinion on what kind of head coach Aaron Glenn would be. Given the choices of the known and the unknown, people typically opt for the known.
