Not ideal but it be the only way to move forward. There are people in the building who are ready to move forward with Rattler but the cap situation might influence the decision on Carr. If they decide to cut bait, they won’t have money to bring back some of their own free agents much less sign others. It’ll depend on what the new head coach wants to do and we could very well see a “scenario” where Carr is kept for cap flexibility, has to compete for his job, and is playing back up to Rattler next year (that is if he’s not released at the end of the summer/training camp).
