Loomis Presser Set for Jan 13th

He's almost 70, he hasn't drafted well, the cap management isn't good. In any other organization, he'd be getting pelted by much tougher questions. Loomis would crumble in 20 seconds vs NY and L.A media.

Getting pelted by questions isn't going to change anything and it's not going to get him to give real answers. I'm also not sure it's true that he would be pelted by questions in any other organization. Certainly in New York. Likely in Philly, but probably not in most other cities around the country.

I don't disagree that he needs to provide answers and I agree that he hasn't done a good job the last few years. I just don't think questions that essentially accuse him of sucking at his job are going to result in getting the information we want. As R.J. mentioned there are professional ways to ask these questions and those are the ways that you get actual information and answers.

People get defensive when you make accusations or include negative opinions of them in questions. If you style the questions right you can catch them off guard and often obtain information that they don't want you to have and would not give if they realized you were attacking them.

And I don't he the NY or LA sports media, especially the NY sports media, is something anyone should want to resemble. Frankly, one of the few advantages of the HC job at this point is that we don't have an overly aggressive media like they have in New York. It makes for a less hostile and more pleasant work environment for coaches. So, while we may not get the pound of flesh we want, it might actually lead to getting better coaches.
