Chase Young looks undisciplined

At the start of the rush he's your RDE and next to him is Bresee

The Stunt takes place and Bresee has done his job, the LT is grasping at air and the LG has to ignore Young to help. You can see the huge gap opening.

Rather than hit the gap right behind the LG who's now fully engaged w/ Breesee. Chase looks to loop behind an engaged Cam Jordan, otherwise surmised as "not in his got damned gap"

Young eventually ends up on the opposite side of Cam. At this point whatever is about to break, is going to break because one person isn't doing their job.

Mayfield uses his feet to hit the empty gap leaving Chase in pursuit and goes to complete this pass for about 12 yds on 3rd and 4.

Yeah, I get it he had really good pressure #'s but he did stuff like this in nearly every single game. Between his and Nathan Shepherd's recklesness they both were drive killers on defense. Shepherd's idiocy wiped out at least 2 Bresee sacks and a few others and Chase routinely was the primary culprit in QB's escaping the pocket. Both should not return as Saints in 2025 if you want to see improvement.

Yes, the draft is deep at edge. And before someone says "fans say the draft is deep at whatever position fits their narrative" according to PFF Edge is the deepest position in the draft boasting (17) of the top 100 players. Next closest is T(14), WR (13,) CB (11), and RB (10)
