In order to do my side job I have to pass a background check every year and maintain 3 different licenses (notary public, title producer, E&O insurance-not really a license but they won't give it to you if you're a screw-up) Before I show up, the company emails my name and photo to the client. Many times we do the signings (new home purchases, refinance) in a neutral location like Starbucks. It's entirely up to the client where he/she feels comfortable. Most are fine doing the signings at their home. I've completed over 200 with no complaints
